As with many residents of Atlantic Canada, I've been getting a few dodgy phone calls lately. The most recent was from "Mark" from "Cardholder services", who is excited to tell me that i can lower the interest rate on my credit card! All i have to do is press 1 on my phone to talk to an agent. So I decided to press 1.
Two rings later "Linda" answered and pleasantly informed me that I was up for an interest reduction on my Mastercard, Visa, or Capitol One card. She cleverly told me that should I decline now, I would lose my eligibility. She then said "All I need sir, is your card information, number and your full name." to which i replied, "You should have my name since I'm the one who was called Re: eligibility, and also, WHICH card am I receiving this offer for? Visa, Mastercard, or Capitol One?" She promptly hung up.
Now I realize that "linda" and "mark" are only trying to make a quick couple hundred thousand, by dupeing unsuspecting credit card holders into giving them their information. However they really should either A) learn to do it better, or B) get a haircut and a real job, go out and make something of themselves, and stop bothering me.
No, I DON'T want to "renew my car's warrenty". No, I DON'T want to give you my name, SIN, and credit card info to lower my interest rates, and YES, GET A LIFE.
Thanks, that's all for now. XD
